My main hobby is DX'ing, my second hobby is travelling, but I'm also a big football fan (from A.S. Saint-Etienne). Monaco Principality 2011 (107/14SD057 Greg)

On april 2011 I decided to spend few days on Principality of Monaco, approimately ten years after my last trip.
About radio, very poor propagation & bad conditions to be active from mobile. Many things changed from my last trip 10 years ago. Now 95% from parking places are underground parking sites. That is very hard to find a good place for radio.
Due to poor propagation I just make few QSO's with local stations. Less than 10 stations on log. Anyway, I spend good time on Principality with very nice weather conditions & visited many sites. I also have a nice meeting with Alex (107WD001). Soon I'll add more photos (over 300 taken). You could find more infos, photos, proofs on My DX Activations.

Monaco Principality 2011 (107/14SD057 Greg)

Approximately 10 years after my last trip on Principality as 107/14SD574, I'll be back this year in Monaco.
I'll be active as 107/14SD057, it will be my 3rd trip to Principality after 107DR/0 & 107/14SD574.
This activation will take place on two parts, first part will be active on april or june 2011 (2 or 3 days) & second part on september 2011 (2 or 3 days also). Now I hope for good conditions as it is very difficult to be active from Principality (very small territory). I'll be active with mobile station & transmit from the car with Wilson 1000 antenna. Please note that two QSL cards have already been printed, two very nice QSL full coloured. I RX QSL package on february, so I'll answer very fast to all operators. Trip to Livradois (Loire / Forez - France)

After several weeks in France without sunny days (rainy sping 2010), looks like now summer is here. So I decided to take the car & portable antennas to check materials.
A very hot & sunny day, I decided to join the Forezian mountains (Col de Baracuchet 1256 ms closed to Livradois). After driving just 20 minutes from Montbrison (Loire). I joined my usual parking place for portable, a very nice place around Forests. First try was made with my HB9CV, long time I havent't used this one, second try was made with Bamby Quad, unfortunately not a lot of propagation, anyway, we had sun, we couldn't have all we are looking for.
Soon I will upload all pictures on Photos Gallery. I'm still working on it.

SD World Meeting 2010 (Agen - France)

This year SD World Meeting took place 11-12-13 june 2010 in the city of Agen (Lot & Garonne - France). Just few words to thank Meeting SD Team especially 14SD001 Fred for giving us the opportunity to spend good time these three days. A lot of fun and friendship as usual.
I decided to spent few days in South West France before joining meeting place in Agen (Lot & Garonne). This meeting giving me the opportunity to meet friends I had not seen since several years (14SD001 Fred, 14SD022 Roger...) & meet new friends as usual. Regular customers were here as usual (30SD001 Carmen, 163SD001 Rich aka "The Dude", 163SD005 Ian with Debbie, 13SD019 Joachim, 9SD001 Al...).

Summer 2010 Trip to South West France (Corrèze - Lot - Lot & Garonne)

This spring 2010 (june 2010) I decided to spend few days in South West France on the way to the world meeting 2010 in Agen (Lot & Garonne). I road accross several departments (Puy De Dôme, Corrèze, Lot & Lot & Garonne) & visit typical villages, natural sites & old castles.
Before joining Agen (Lot & Garonne) I spend few days this week on Tulle (Corrèze) to visit Gimel & Cahors (Lot) to visit famous site from Rocamadour & Padirac.

Spring 2010 Trip to Paris (Ile De France - France)

On may 2010 I got one week holidays & I decided to spend few days in the capital city, maybe more than 10 years I have been in Paris (Ile De France).
Some friends from internet invited me for a party in Paris but before I decided to visit famous places & sites from Paris, Saint-Germain en Laye & Fontainebleau.
Unfortunately weather conditions were very bad in France this month & I had to visit Paris under rain & cloudy grey sky. Anyway it was a real pleasure to be here. SD France Meeting 2009 (Nevers - France)

French SD Meeting took place in 2009 in the city of Nevers (Dpt. 58 Nièvre) closed to Magny Cours & famous Formula One Race Arena. Just few words to thank Meeting SD Team especially 14SD204 Jean-Claude & his wife 14SD134 Elodie for giving us the opportunity to spend good time these two days. A lots of fun and friendship.
For this meeting unfortunately no free time to visit this area, as I could not have free days from my employer. Anyway this meeting was an opportunity for me to see a friend I had not seen since several years 14AT047 Yoann. We had lot of fun together, after this meeting Yoan invited me to Langres for AT french meeting 2009, so we see us again few weeks after & again lot of fun. Unfortunately no pictures from this meeting as I loose files after a computer crash.
Summer 2008 Trip to ITU Geneva (Geneva - Switzerland)

This summer (july 2008) with some friends we decided to spend few days in Haute Savoie (Dpt. 74 in France) closed to Switzerland boarder. We sppend one week in Annecy (Haute Savoie) before joining Geneva (Switzerland). We visited the city and I decided to have a look on 235 division (ITU Geneva).
ITU Geneva is located inside the city very closed to United Nations Building from Geneva.
ITU is composed of 3 buildings, I have seen that the only one way to be active from this most wanted is to get an official agreement. On the main building you could see two antennas.

SD World Meeting 2008 (Roma - Italy)

This year SD World Meeting took place 30-31 may 2008 & 01 june 2008 in Roma (Italy). Just few words to thank Meeting SD Team especially 1SD005 Steave for giving us the opportunity to spend good time these two days. A lots of fun and friendship as usual.
Jeff (14SD692) & me (14SD057) spent few days in Toscana (Italy) before joining meeting place in Roma. On saturday with other SD friends we visit this beautiful city, you could see pictures from our trip in Roma city on photos gallery (left menu). Here one picture from Austrian-Welsh-French coalition lol.

Summer 2008 Trip to Toscana (Toscana - Italy)

This year (may-june 2008) we decided with Jeff (14SD692) to spend few days in Toscana (Italy) on the way to the world meeting 2008 in Roma (Italy). Roma is far away by road from our QTH so we decided to stay in Pisa (Toscana) 5 days and visit this famous region.
I joined my friend Jeff by car to Marseille, then we drove to Pisa. We visited cities Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Firenze, San Gimignano & Sienna. A fantastic trip.

Summer 2007 Trip to Loire Castles (Indre & Loire - France)

Maybe 3 weeks back to Morocco we decided with some friends to spend few days in Indre & Loire (Dpt. 41 in France) to visit famous castles from Chenonceaux, Chambord & Blois. So we stay 3 days in Blois.
These castles are well known world wide and still maybe the more beautiful you could see in France with Versailles (closed to Paris city).

Summer 2007 Trip to Morocco (South Morocco Tour)

This summer (august 2007) with some friends we decided to plan a travel to North Africa (Morocco or Tunisia ?). Finally we decided to travel to Morocco (South Part of the country).
We spent 10 days in Morocco and discovered this fantastic country. We visited famous sites like Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Zagora (Sahara boarder) & Tinerhir.
